Strategi Pemanfaatan Lahan Tidak Produktif untuk Pencapaian Pembangunan Berkelanjutan

Law No. 5 of 1960 on the Basic Regulation of Agrarian Principles (UUPA) stipulates that land is an important asset that must be managed efficiently for the welfare of society. With limited land and increasing population, the management of unproductive land is becoming increasingly important. This research aims to identify effective and sustainable strategies in the management of unproductive land, taking into account the imbalance between land availability and population needs. Based on data from the National Land Agency (BPN), there are approximately 1.2 million hectares of unproductive land in Indonesia, most of which are under Cultivation Rights Title. Through a normative approach and related legal analysis, this research provides policy recommendations for the optimization of unproductive land use in order to support sustainable development.
