PENERAPAN METODE CLUSTERING K-MEANS TERHADAP DOSEN BERDASARKAN PUBLIKASI JURNAL NASIONAL DAN TERAKREDITASI SINTA

ABSTRACT
Research on the grouping of lecturers by considering several published scientific or research results both nationally and by sinta accreditation. This is done to determine the level of publication of lecturer research results that have been published so that they can be easily disseminated so that the knowledge gained influences science in general and has an impact on social life. The problem raised in this study is how to apply the K-Means Clustering method with reference to the results of lecturer research publications based on national journals and sinta accredited journals? The methods used to analyze the problems in this research are literature study, problem solving, collecting and processing research data, designing systems, building systems, testing systems, and drawing conclusions. The discussion was carried out, namely related to the K-Means Clustering system based on data that had been collected in the form of national journal weights and sinta accredited journal weights by utilizing Matlab R2013b software. From the results of system testing, it was obtained that lecturer clustering related to the results of journal weights, namely lecturers with high national weight scores and no sinta accreditation weights, lecturers with quite high national weights and high sinta accreditation weights, medium national weight and low sinta accreditation weights, low national weights and Sinta accreditation weight is low. This research resulted in a conclusion, namely the data was processed through several stages, starting from calculating the weight value of each national journal publication and sinta accredited journal. Then the weight results are recapitulated based on each lecturer so that the total value of the lecturer weight can be known in publishing research results in the form of journals that have been published both in the form of national publications and sinta accreditation publications. The results of the clustering were made into 4 groups, namely lecturers with high national scores and high Sinta accreditation scores, lecturers with low national scores and high Sinta accreditation scores, high national scores and low Sinta accreditation scores, low national scores and low Sinta accreditation scores.
